  • 1.  Any reliable way to associate version data fond in cmplst.txt ?

    I have seen a few non IBM links that maintain a cross reference between what is found in cmplst.txt and TM1 versions.

    I am looking for a definitive way to associate the persons with official IBM versions
    For example, on one server, I see this:

    TM1_version=TM1-LX64-ML-RTM-11.0.8.1012-0
    Wish I associate with some versions of 2.0.8.something

    Is there a list or does everyone just compile their own. It seems to me that ask for a real listing is not a huge ask
    Thanks

    Hi John, unfortunately there isn't anything like that currently.  I can tell you that

    TM1_version=TM1-LX64-ML-RTM-11.0.8.1012-0

    equates to

    PA 2.0.8.1012 IF6

    In general, the 2 places after "11" tell you the major release point, 2.0.8 in this case

    For now all you can do is ask here and someone will translate that for you.

    I typically just look at the line in the tm1server.log file on startup that looks like this:

    139905017243392 [] INFO 2020-01-27 02:32:11.262 TM1.Server --------------------Session Start--------------------
    139905017243392 [] INFO 2020-01-27 02:32:11.262 TM1.Server TM1 Build Number: 11.7.00000.34

    This tells you what version of TM1 Server is actually running.  What you have installed and what version is running should hopefully be the same thing :)

    PA 2.0.8 has TM1 11.6.x
    PA 2.0.9 has TM1 11.7.x

    The group of 5 numbers indicate the Fixpack and Interim Fix level (although we don't do Fixpacks in Planning Analytics, just Interim Fixes).  The last two digits indicate a build number.
