    Hi,

There appears to be a difference between the old and new version of workspace in relation to the Axis values in visualisations.

In the old version it would appear the Axis values were consistent with the format in the dimension, so if the format was a % the Axis would show the values as a %.

It now appears that in the new workspace experience this is no longer the case and even if the format is a % it shows the values as a value.

The Old and New screen prints below illustrate the issue.

    Old Version:

    New Version:

As can be seen from the image above the scaling also seems to be an issue.

This is a real problem, one IBM cloud customer reported to us:

"This is a show stopper for us as so much of our dashboards are based on loan pay rates.
The old version picks up the format of the number from the cube hence is supporting %s. We can't go live with the new version with this issue."

I do hope IBM fix this as soon as possible. Apologies if I have missed something!

    regards,

    Mark

On the scaling issue, it appears that in the new version you cannot set say a minimum % of 3%, i.e. 0.03, because it wont allow decimals in the axis scale value min and max.

    Hi Mark,

Sorry for the late reply. I just stumbled across this article as we are having the same issues and are very disappointed. We were able to fix the axis minimum value scaling with the option 'Value axis show zero origin' under the Chart properties (it won't show up if you have the axis min/max values defined). We have been unsuccessful at finding any remedy for % formatting or very large numbers needing abbreviated though.

    Regards,
    Nate

    Hi,

Bit of a cheat but why don't you scale up and down the values using MDX (or a rule or a consolidated element with weighting?)?  So multiply %s by 100 etc.

Could put % in the title rather than repeated in the rows.

Should get you over the line prior to a fix from IBM?

    Hello James,

I didn't realize you could use MDX to scale the value. That could be a nicer solution. I did use a consolidated element to scale to thousands, but haven't done anything for the %. I'll try that!

    Thank you for the ideas!
