I recently had to rebuild a few cubes to include some additional dimension to cater to changed business needs.
One set of tasks on my list was to go into all my PAW books and recreate the explorations to take into account the new dimensions.
To my surprise, the explorations were not broken and returned data. The new dimensions were hidden as default dimensions and could be added back to the context area.
Having the exploration magically pick up the new dimensions and render the view as before save quite a lot of time.
Thought I would share this feature in case anyone else needs to do the same in the future.
Thanks IBM for making this seamless and stress free!
p.s. For those who never worked in Architect, you need to recreate all your views from scratch, meaning assigning the correct dimensions to context, rows, columns then setting the subsets and relevant members. If you have many views, you are in for some work. Yes you can edit the .vue file but still takes more time than PAW.
