  • 1.  More a TM1Web than a PAW issue...

    Hello community,
As said in the subject, it's more a TM1Web than a PAW issue but I would be curious to see how PAW behave in the following business case.

We've got a TM1/TM1Web application which requires a bunch of data entries from user all over the world and in order to make it easy, they use their Excel worksheets to provide the data in the TM1 Websheet by copying/pasting.
The issue is that our users have different 'number/decimal/thousands separator" configuration and so their paste action doesn't behave as expected. :-(
Is there a way to be able from the web interface to behave correctly (inject the figures in TM1) in TM1Web or PAW without knowing what are the local specificities ?
    Thanks for your help !
    Regards,
    Bob

    Hi Robert,

As a workaround you can create an input cube with string measures in order to provide a copy&paste interface. Then, with a TI process, you can convert the string values to numeric values scanning the '.' and ',' characters.

    Hello Report,
I had changed my machine number formatting and It works fine with PAX. you can edit numbers using your local machine number formatting.
I would suggest - If I understand the situation correctly - to open the TM1Web application from Excel PAX directly not through web browser.

I hope you find this useful.

No difference in copy paste behavior in PAW as compared to TM1Web.

That said, its not an ideal approach but if we change the data format in excel to Text and then copy paste in TM1Web might just do the trick..
