I've started playing with Hierarchies and I think this is quite a great feature !
Unfortunately, unless I'm wrong, I didn't find a lot of documentation on these new TM1 objects. If there are some IBMers on the forum that could put me in the right direction and share links, I would be more than happy.
Actually my understanding is the following :
- The only visible hierarchy in legacy tools if the "default" one with the dimension name ([Brand].[Brand] for a Brand dimension) : Perspectives and Pass
- Hierarchies are visible and natively available in PAW & PAfE
- Within these tools, we can change the used hierarchy on fly
- Attribute Hierarchies are a specific type of Hierarchies
- Within a grid we can use different hierarchies from the same dimension on both rows & columns (I think it's possible even if I didn't succeed to do it)
- Once you've start using it, you need to use them everywhere : processes, security, rules...
Am I wrong ? Do I miss something ?
My question to IBM : When Hierarchies will be available in PASS ?
