Planning Analytics

Hi Everyone,

I am using IBM PAW predictive forecasting feature but I am getting an issue where if I am doing forecasting at consolidation elements then the data is spread across leaf level elements as well irrespective they have any actual numbers in them on the basis of which forecasting is done.

I came across this IBM link Apply data spreading to a forecast  where it has been mentioned that we can use data spreading type (proportional/relative proportional). But this option is not available to me in advance tab. I am using PA version 2.0.65.

If anyone came across with above can help me out here.

Hi Sumit,

The spreading option feature was released in 2.0.66, you need to get the update for PAW for this latest version, then you should be able to try it,

Thanks for the response.

We have upgraded to 2.0.66, but unfortunately advance tab still don't have the spreading option feature.
Interestingly in the IBM documentation regarding feature released in version 2.0.66 this feature is not mentioned (https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/planning-analytics/2.0.0?topic=wnipaw-2066-whats-new-july-14-2021).

So wondering whether we have to follow some steps at our end to enable this feature apart from the upgrade. Please advice.

The announcement on spreading of the forecast values is available now here:

What's new in 2.0.66

Another important requirement for this feature to work properly is that your TM1 version should be 11.8.7 (PA 2.0.9.8) or later. Is it your case?
