    Hi

    Good Day To All,'

We are currently receiving this error on Planning Analytics Workspace when opening a book the error says "Failed to open the target workbook. Make sure that the file has not been renamed or deleted." But there are times the books open and when switching to another tab the error goes back again. We are using Planning Analytics Workspace Local Version 2.0.36.  Does someone experience this before and how to resolve this.
Ill appreciate any help or suggestion that you can give me thanks... Please see image below for the screenshot error

    Hi Jonel,

Where the issue is intermittent makes it a bit more difficult to track down. I realize it's PAW but we're still using the TM1 Web service to help deliver. If the problem is still happening I would review the tm1web.log to see what gets logged. In the past I've seen java.lang exception errors in the log which would help to direct towards the root cause.

You have indicated the PAW version is 36, but what about Planning Analytics? Are you on 2.0.3, 2.0.4, 2.0.5, or 2.0.6? If problem persist, you may want to discuss with support to see if something helpful is resolved in the later version of Planning Analytics.

    Kind Regards,

    Hi

We are experiencing the issue after upgrading to 2.0.8 in TM1Web.

Is there any update on this?

    Hi Mario,

Are you saying that this is only happening with TM1Web?
I'm trying to understand if the scenario is the same as Jonel had at the beginning of this thread where it was intermittent and to resolve he would do something like go to another sheet then back.

A bit surprised it's happening with 2.0.8, but wondering if you could retest with this jvm option in place?

    Hi Robert,

We do not have PAW available at the client where we upgraded to 2.0.8. So I don't know if PAW is also affected in this particular case but I would guess so.

I think the scenario is different from Jonel and your link did not help. We have many websheets but only one websheet had the issue after upgrading. After extensive testing we found out the following.

The error appears if the websheet includes:
    1. Active form
    2. Chart (does not necessarily need to be build based on active form, can have a slice as data source)
    3. Merged cells
with the combination that you delete all active form rows except the first one before saving to keep the websheet size small.

I could reproduce the error in Planning Sample. If you are interested to understand the issue you can do the following in Planning Sample:
    1. Open report "Actual v Budget.xlsx"
    2. Merge any cells (e.g. E14 and F14)
    3. Delete rows 20, 21, 22 -> sheet looks like in the screenshot I uploaded
    4. Save and open in TM1Web -> Error should occur
    5. Go back to file and unmerge cells
    6. Open in TM1Web -> no error (chart might stop working because of the graphdata named ranges but it does not matter, if you would merge the cells again, the error occurs again.

    Hi Mario,

when you have something unique here which you can reproduce, I would suggest you log a support case and communicate the steps with support. If they can't reproduce they will assist with troubleshooting on your side and if they can reproduce, they would log a defect to get resolved.

    Thanks in advance,

Did you get a solution to this as i have the same issue with a report. I have the chart in a report by it self and works ok in PAW and TM1Web however when i add the report to a bigger workbook it gives me this same error message. It works fine in PAX.
    Thanks

    Hi Kylie,

don't ask me why but in our case merged cells were the issue. After we unmerged the report worked.
