Now I have another issue.
Tables earlier available in the source are not there any more. I have verified that they are selected in the data server connection and reloaded the metadata but they do not reappear.
Is there a way to refresh the data source in a different way?

The drag and drop action is necessary to add additional columns to a query subject in the module. The new query items are added to the end of the list of query items in the query subject. You can then move them to a position which you want.
The module label, which shows at the module tree root node, is read only and reflects the name of the module. You can set it by saving the module as another name.

I have found that you need go to the Data Module and expand the dbo window on the far left then, click and drag the updated View or Table again into the Data Module pane.
A pop up will then ask you 'Do you want to import these items again?'
Select yes, you wont need to re-configure any column Settings or Relationships they will all be preserved as long as you haven't removed or changed any existing columns in the database.
The new column will then be available.

I have a similar problem running on version 11.1.
A new column added to a view used in a data module. I have tried reloading the metadata through the data server connection/schemas but the new column is not added to the data module. Do I need to somehow refresh the data module to get the new column or do I need to add the new column manually?
I also seem to be unable to change the label/name of the data module, is this correct?

Hi Karthik,
Did you re-load the schema for the database? If not, I think that will clear up your validation problem. In the data source connection schema list, select "Load metadata" to refresh the cached metadata for your database schema.
I hope that helps.
Cheers,
Rob

I am new to data modules. I have created a new data module using source as data server. there was some changes made to the columns in the data source but I am not able to update those objects in the data module.
I tried to update it using the properties>expression and update it manually, but it throws "Identifier not found" error. please help.
