  • 1.  Routing for packages

I have two server groups with routing tags, one 64-bit and one 32-bit. In 11.1.2 I can't find out how to set routing for a packages. Earlier this was done under "Properties->Advanced" but that option has disappeard. Existing packages seems to work but how should I do for new ones?

    Thanks,
    Håkan

    Hakan,

Since version 11.1.1 this setting was moved to:

    Manage/Configuration/Routing Rules

    see below

we just installed 11.1.2 and noticed the same thing. package routing is missing from the advanced properties of the package and from what I see the new location of the routing configuration doesn't allow the ability to set packages to a data tag. It only shows packages tied to it.  Has anyone found where you can set or modify routing data tags for packages?

    Hi RaShaud,

It is a bit subtle to figure out, IBM did not include any info with the release notes.

To add a package to an existing DataTag you need to
1- Click the drop-down arrow next to the DataTag
2- Hover over the DataTag's name, you will get an edit button allowing you to add a package.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks for your answers.

I have now realized that it isn't any longer necessary to have one dispatcher for Framework Manager and one for Dynamic Cubes. It's with one as long as it's set to 32-bit. I have therefore deleted one and removed the routing rules. So far it works flawless.

    Hi,

Can you please clarify this bit?
"I have now realized that it isn't any longer necessary to have one dispatcher for Framework Manager and one for Dynamic Cubes. It's with one as long as it's set to 32-bit. "

Are you saying Analytics will automatically forward CQM requests to a server that is 32-bit enabled, and not to one that is 64-bit only enabled?
And you no longer need a routing rule for that? I don't find this back in any of the documentation.

    Thanks!

    Matt
