I'm using IBM Cognos Analytics 11.0.7.
I loaded a picture to show how I did it. Let me know if anything wrong there.
After all done, I clicked on 'reorder the tasks' again to check. Its back to 'All at once'. Tried to run the schedule as well and it still run 2 tasks in parallel.

I can save after selecting "In Sequence", changes are still kept after close and re-open Event Studio.
When "In Sequence" is checked and the report fails, no email is sent out.

For #1: have you tried setting the tasks order to be "In sequence
", this should guarantee the email does not get sent out unless the run report task is successful.

i have 2 questions:
1)I have a Job (Agent) that is set up with an event and two sequential tasks. The event checks for the existence of a flag in a table and upon success it then runs the report which calls a SQL Server Store procedure inside the report. And that task calls the Email task which sends an email to the distribution with the output of the report task
The problem is sometimes the report runs but the Stored Procedure call fails which basically means the report task fails. But the email still goes out with a blank report as attachment.
is there any way to stop sending the email when report task fails.
2) i have 2 report tasks in one agent, both run long time. So i want them to run in sequence in stead of all at once.
I set my tasks as run 'in sequence' to avoid deadlock, but after clicking apply-> okay->save, it will go back to 'All at once'.
Is this feature working ?
