  • 1.  User details synchronization between Cognos and Active Directory

    Background-
    Docker version of Cognos is installed in Linux machine. From Cognos server configuration window connectivity between Cognos and Active Directory (AD) is achieved. Also the installation is not standalone installation. It is one of the four components as part of package for IoT E&U.

    Next step to configure users present in AD, to be available in Cognos server and provide required authorization.

    Guidance needed -
    How to transfer / synchronize users in AD such that they will be available in Cognos?

    Initially we configured new resource using the link below:

    We have checked from the configuration window. The test was without any error.

    We have followed the steps mentioned in the link below.

    But in Cognos admin console, in security tab, new namespace is not visible.

    Please suggest if anything else to be tested.

    I would suggest opening a ticket with support to look into this issue more.
