Hi Denny
we dont want user to get one email for all the report, because for each report we have 1) email body that has some summery of each report data 2) PDF.
What we want is, just one email for one report.
eg, if:
1) Report 1 is for user A,B,C
2) Report 2 is for user B, C,D
We want 2 emails in total. One for report 1 and another for report 2.
Currently we see 2 emails but in both emails we see both reports, maybe its because user B and C are the recipients for both reports so systerm get confused.

Subject: Bursting report with cognos
Hello Ella,
The only way I can think of getting this to work would be to concatenate the burst key. This way the user would get one email with all the attachments and the Subject line would have a concatenated string for the burst key. Would this be acceptable? If so, what database vendor are you using? and is the package CQM or DQM?

Good Morning Ella,
With the out of the box functionality, it does not look possible to have Event Studio burst one report per email when they burst recipient is tied to multiple burst keys.
I'm checking down one more avenue and will get back to you shortly.
Thanks,
Denny

Good Morning Ella,
Thank you for posting your additional findings. After doing a bit of investigation on my end, there is already an RFE (Request Functional Enhancement) logged requesting this functionality. I would suggest getting your team to vote on it. (I voted on it as well)
I will also reach out to our team internally to see if there is any other way to workaround this.

I just found something new. For example , if our burst key is country, and
if the report recipient mapping relation is 1) China -> Person A 2) Japan -> Person B, 3) US -> Person C,
There is no issue. Each of them receives a mail with one report.
However, if the report and recipient is 1) China -> Person A 2) Japan -> Person A & B, 3) US -> Person C
Then Person A will receive 2 mails, each has 2 reports, which doesn't make sense.

Hello Ella,
It's been a while since I setup bursting and emailing in Event Studio. Give me a bit of time to test this and I will get back to you later this week.

Hi
I have tried to use bursting feature but it doesn't seem to work as expected
here is what i do:
1) create the report in cognos analytics 11, set bursting features
2) create agent in event studio for scheduling and send out emails to dynamic emails. i use event studio because analytics 11 doesn't allow dynamic subject in bursting emails.
what i expected to see is each 3 user should receive a mail with dynamic subset of data attached, but the result is, each of them received 3 attachments in one mail.
