  • 1.  Strange Calculation Results

    Hi

    I am using IBM Cognos Analytics 11.1 R1. I am suddenly having a problem with calculation. I have one column A with a total of 10600000 and other column B with a total of 7900000. When I create a calculated field of Column A + Column B and it displays 13600000 instead of the right summation of 18500000.

    What could be Any advice?

    What's the aggregation for your calculation?   Quite often the problem which you are seeing is corrected by setting the aggregation to calculated.

    Hi

    Under Properties, I cannot find the option Calculated in the Aggregate properties. I can only see None, Total, Average, etc.

    Hi,

    Calculated aggregation type is only available for what we call "Stand-alone" calculations, defined outside of a "table", aka query subject.
