Hi all,
I am trying to perform the steps necessary to creating a data module for relative date analysis as outlined here: https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/en/SSEP7J_11.1.0/com.ibm.swg.ba.cognos.ca_mdlg.doc/t_ca_rel_date_create_module.htmlIn step 2.a, I am told the data type of the reference column should be of date type:
"From the date column menu, select Properties > General. Ensure that the Data type property of the column is set to Date.
If the Data type property is set to Timestamp, you can change the type to Date by using the cast function in the expression editor."
In a data module, I have a transaction table with a timestamp. I added a calculation to the table that is simply cast ( timestamp_column, date ). This calculation validates however the data type property remains a timestamp and not date. I am hoping to use this to join to the samples for relative date analysis.
Maybe I am missing something here?
I included a couple of images as an example. TIA.
