    Does anyone know how to get rid of the most annoying new feature, RECENTS splashed all over the main page. Have seen a few other posts, but I guess nobody has a clue how to actually do it.

    There is sample welcome screen extension you can use to customize your home screen and assign this to to role applicable to all users to hide all content on welcome page. 

    Other option for individual user is to create a dummy report and set as Home.

    Hi Kurt
    You can disable the Capability for the Consumers. Are you trying to completely get rid of it?
    Disabled the Recent option for the Consumer

    I want the  icon on the nav bar to remain, I just don't want the clutter on the main screen.

    Hi Kurt,

    The easiest way is to create your own home screen.  You can use one of the sample Extensions (located in the cognos install folder) as a starting point.
