IBM continues to expand our compliance posture for our SaaS offerings with the availability of Type 2 reports for both SOC1 and SOC2 for IBM Cognos Analytics on Cloud.

Stay current with which features are available in Cognos Analytics on Cloud or Cloud Pak for Data.  The offering feature matrix has moved to our live IBM Knowledge Center.

Onboarding to Cognos Analytics on cloud: If you have just placed an order for your cloud offering or if you are evaluating the possibilities of moving to the cloud these common onboarding processes and steps should give you a good idea of what to expect and help you plan accordingly.

Cognos Analytics 11.1.x has multiple java processes. Have you ever wondered what they were for and how much memory is recommended as a default starting point? Read this article in the manual here.

This sample extension adds zoom support to any dashboard that is using an absolute layout. The extension will introduce various percent zoom settings as well as Page Width and Whole Page that can be used to force the dashboard to fit within your browser window.

This dashboard widget extension allows you to add buttons to your dashboards that will open a URL (website link) in a new browser tab.

If clicking on a tab in a multitab portal page results in a prompt “Do you want to open or save <report view name>”, this article may help to resolve it.

Did you know logging levels can be adjusted from your own workstation? This is in addition to the logging capabilities which exists on the Cognos server. This type of client-side logging is important for troubleshooting with support.
