When it comes to adopting business intelligence solutions, organizations are looking for the path of least resistance – so they can accelerate time to value and avoid disruptions to existing processes. Solutions such as IBM Cognos Analytics have helped clients like Mueller achieve deeper insights faster by allowing them to get more out of existing data assets with an AI-infused BI and analytics tool.

Mueller is an American steel building and metal roof manufacturer based in Ballinger, Texas that has been using Cognos for over a decade. With the most recent Cognos 11.1.7 capabilities, Mueller has seen how easy it is to build insightful dashboards using AI to identify and analyze outliers in their data, all in a matter of minutes.

Breathing new life into legacy data

When Mark Lack, Mueller Inc.’s Head of Analytics took a test drive of the Cognos 11.1.7 release, he “fell in love again.” Mark was amazed at how easy it was to take a 10-year old data asset and breathe new life into it. Now, Mueller is able to build dashboards and reports in minutes with a version of Cognos that they describe as “sharper, faster, and prettier than ever before.” To see a demo from Mark and hear more about how they were able to do this, check out the video.

In this video, you’ll learn:

  • How Mueller was able to leverage Cognos to overcome business challenges
  • How to dive deeper into legacy data sets to get new insights in minutes
  • How easy it is to take advantage of AI capabilities in Cognos
  • How to share reports directly from Cognos

Aside from his own positive experience, Mark will also discuss why Cognos is beneficial to new users as they embark on their journey to better, faster, more reliable insights.
