In the world of high performance computing (HPC), hybrid HPC cloud has emerged as a key way for organizations to accelerate time to market, accommodate spikes in compute demand, reduce IT lead times, and control costs. Spectrum LSF provides out of the box support for dynamic hybrid cloud for seamless, policy-driven bursting of workloads to the cloud with dynamic provisioning of cloud resources via the resource connector capability. It supports Google Cloud Platform (GCP) in addition to other cloud providers.

For more than 25 years, Spectrum LSF has continuously evolved to meet the needs of HPC including new workloads and technologies including HPC cloud. Today, we're announcing the availability of new capabilities for the Spectrum LSF resource connector for GCP to include support for including instance templates, local SSDs, preemptible VMs, and bulk APIs.

A detailed guide on deploying Spectrum LSF auto-scaling clusters on GCP can be found here.
