What You’ll Learn

This certification focuses on IBM Z hardware, z/OS, and system administration. It is part of the IBM Z 101 learning path 

Completing this certification also makes your road to IBM Z 101 shorter, because you’ll have already mastered a major portion of its core content.

The Badge Requirements

To earn the credential, you’ll complete three key courses, scoring 80% or higher on the quizzes for each:

  1. Introduction to IBM z/OS

  2. z/OS Commands and Panels

  3. Introduction to System Programming on IBM Z

Time Commitment: Around 36 hours in total.


6-Day Learning Plan

Days 1 & 2:

  • Complete Introduction to IBM z/OS

    Learn the essentials of IBM Z and z/OS, explore its architecture, and get comfortable with the environment you’ll work in.

Days 3 & 4:

  • Complete z/OS Commands and Panels

    Get hands-on with commands, panels, and navigation so you can work confidently inside the mainframe system.

Days 5 & 6:

  • Complete Introduction to System Programming on IBM Z

    Dive into the fundamentals of system programming and understand how to manage and maintain z/OS environments.
