Seamless user experiences in Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) drive operational efficiency and enable informed decision-making. The redesigned IBM MaaS360 Accounts page for partners delivers modern design principles and enhanced functionality to improve your account management experience.
Why Account Management matters:
At its heart, Account management is the foundation of the MaaS360 Partner portal. Partners use this centralized hub to manage the lifecycle of their customer accounts, from initial provisioning and trial monitoring to ongoing subscription oversight. Effective account management ensures that administrators can quickly view account statuses, manage licenses, and maintain the health of their entire client portfolio from a single interface.
Thoughtful Design, Powered by Carbon :
Built on the foundation of IBM’s Carbon Design System, this redesign isn't just a cosmetic refresh; it is a reimagining of how administrators interact with our portal. While MaaS360 has long been trusted by our Partners for its robust account management capabilities, we recognized that the interface needed to evolve to meet modern expectations for clarity and speed.
The result is a clean, intuitive, and powerful interface that maintains full functional parity with the previous version while significantly improving the day-to-day experience.
Enhanced data visualization:

One of the most striking improvements is the new Overview section at the top of the page. This card-based metrics display transforms all account data into actionable categories:
- Total accounts
- Trial accounts
- Customers
- Partners
- Sandbox
- Expired
- Deletion initiated (accounts marked for deletion)
- Deletion failed (if such accounts exist)
Partner administrators can assess their entire account ecosystem at a glance without navigating through tables.
Streamlined navigation:

Previously, the Accounts page used an accordion-style interface where clicking on an account would expand it inline, revealing details directly on the same page. While functional, this approach had limitations. The main accounts list became cluttered with expanded content, making it difficult to maintain context when viewing multiple accounts, and the inline expansion constrained the amount of detail that could be comfortably displayed.
The new redesigned interface introduces a dedicated child account view that opens when you click on account name. This new pattern provides a clean separation between the child accounts list and detailed account information.
When you navigate into an account, you're presented with a comprehensive view featuring:
- Breadcrumb Navigation: A clear hierarchical trail (e.g., “Partner1 Account Name/ Partner 2 Account Name/ Customer Name”) that shows exactly where you are in the account structure and allows instant navigation back to any parent level.
- Tabbed Interface: Multiple organized tabs within the account view including Accounts, Account Details, Action History, and EULA Status, providing structured access to different aspects of the account
- Focused Experience: A dedicated full-page summary view that gives each account the space it needs for detailed information
The ability to quickly navigate back using breadcrumbs ensures you're never more than one click away from the main accounts list, combining the benefits of dedicated views with the efficiency of quick navigation.
This modern navigation pattern aligns with contemporary web application design principles, making the interface more intuitive for users familiar with other enterprise tools while dramatically improving the overall user experience.
Advanced filtering & search:

The dedicated filter panel in the Account tab replaces the old inline text inputs with sophisticated dropdown selectors:
Created Date Filter: Easily filter accounts by creation date ranges – 1 Day, 7 Days, 30 days, making it simple to find recently added accounts or analyse historical data.
Account Type Filter: Quickly segment your view by account type, whether you're looking for customers, partners, expired or trial accounts. Additionally, On clicking the category based counts in the Overview card will automatically apply the this filter.
Enrollment Type Filter: Filter by enrollment method – Users/Devices to understand how accounts are enrolling the devices.
Search : The enhanced search functionality lets you search the child accounts in nth level by partially providing its Account name or Billing ID. Clicking on these results will take you the detailed account view.

Account actions:

Account actions have been thoughtfully placed to provide maximum flexibility and convenience. Account actions are accessible from two locations:
- Row-level actions : Accessible directly within the parent partner table view, allowing quick operations without leaving the main accounts list
- Header Actions : In the account details page for actions within the focused account context.
This dual-access approach ensures that whether you're working with multiple accounts or diving deep into a single account, the actions you need are always within reach. Importantly, every action from the previous interface has been preserved and enhanced with a refreshed user interface, improved validations, and robust error handling, delivering complete functional parity while significantly elevating the user experience through modern design patterns.
