Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) has a large, mission-critical Db2 for z/OS environment with extremely high availability and performance requirements. Since 2014, the RBS staff of database administrators, system programmers and over 2,000 developers have converted to the IBM Db2 Utilities and Tools to meet ever-increasing expectations. Mark Turner, chief architect and strategist for mainframe databases at the bank, will share the RBS story and experiences. He will highlight lessons learned as well as best practices and techniques that can apply to any Db2 for z/OS customer. Haakon Roberts, IBM DE, worked closely with Mark and his team on the project as they completed their migration to IBM Db2 Utilities and will join Mark in this webcast to give his perspective.
