We are pleased to announce the general availability of IBM^® Semeru Runtime™ Certified Edition for z/OS^® v21.0.10.1 (Interim Update). This release addresses a critical issue in IBM Semeru Runtime Certified Edition for z/OS v21. The binaries have been made available on our standard distribution sites as on 02^nd Apr 2026.

This interim update PTF includes a fix from APAR IJ57789 that addresses garbled terminal output when applications write UTF-8 encoded bytes using  System.out.write()  or  System.err.write(). Affected applications include Jenkins agents on z/OS, Log4j, and Gradle. The fix adds character conversion to correct the output. Please read more about the same in the 'What's New' section of the documentation.
