NVIDIA AI Blueprints are opinionated, GPU accelerator‑tuned reference architectures that package the core ingredients of modern AI solutions: pre-built microservices (NVIDIA NIM), model serving, data ingest/curation pipelines, and example agentic logic. They are designed to bring AI to solve common industry problems by radically shortening the distance from idea to working prototype.
But by design, Blueprints don’t include the enterprise‑grade pieces you need to run those recipes in production: end‑to‑end governance, identity and access controls, data sovereignty, lifecycle automation, etc. In other words, Blueprints describe the ingredients, but they need a fully stocked pantry to be useful in the enterprise.
IBM Fusion is that kitchen. It is the platform for building, bringing, and running enterprise AI applications. NVIDIA’s reference architectures land on a stable, scalable foundation so teams hit time‑to‑first‑inference fast and scale with confidence. Data is made AI-ready through content-aware storage and data cataloging services. Governance and security are guaranteed, and rich enterprise features like HA/DR and workload orchestration are brought to the table, exactly what NVIDIA Blueprints need to move from demo to production in regulated industries.
To assist with enablement and customer confidence several Blueprints are being validated on IBM Fusion. To date, AI-Q and VSS have been validated. AI-Q is a reasoning‑forward research blueprint that supercharges knowledge discovery across millions of documents, useful for any industry and already in use as a medical research assistant on Fusion. VSS (visual search and summarization) is a multimodal workhorse for visual inspection, incident triage, and early warning from CCTV or drone feeds, ideal for utilities and industrials. More industry Blueprints will be introduced over the coming year.
