An important milestone to plan for
As part of the continued evolution of the Aspera client experience, IBM is beginning the transition from IBM Aspera Connect to IBM Aspera for desktop.
To support this transition:

Support for IBM Aspera Connect when used with Aspera on Cloud (AoC) will end on December 31, 2026.

Following this, all Aspera web applications will discontinue support for IBM Aspera Connect starting March 31, 2027. After this date, IBM Aspera Connect will no longer be available for download, and no further security updates or new features will not be provided.

Existing installations will continue to function, but no further maintenance updates, security fixes, or enhancements will be provided.
For customers using the IBM Aspera SDK
Organizations integrating Aspera functionality through the IBM Aspera SDK will also need to migrate to the updated SDK compatible with IBM Aspera for desktop.
