STIHL Group, the world‑leading manufacturer of outdoor power equipment, also modernized its global SAP landscape with a highly scalable IBM Power infrastructure, co‑designed and implemented with long‑time IBM Platinum Partner SVA.

To support 24/7 global operations and the company’s shift toward digital, data‑driven products and battery‑powered equipment, STIHL expanded its IBM Power environment with IBM Power E1080 enterprise servers and IBM FlashSystem storage.

Running IBM PowerVM and SUSE Linux Enterprise Server for SAP Applications, the new platform hosts key SAP solutions such as SAP S/4HANA, SAP HANA, SAP BW/4HANA, SAP EWM, and SAP Global Trade Services, empowering STIHL with a more agile, scalable, and future‑ready digital foundation.

The result: a unified, modern SAP landscape engineered to boost service quality, improve performance, simplify global operations, and accelerate STIHL’s digital innovation as they continue shaping the future of intelligent power tools.
