IBM Open Enterprise SDK for Go is a compiler for the Go programming language that supports the z/OS platform. The capabilities and widespread use of Go can make it a natural addition to z/OS as the IBM Z platform continues to advance and support application modernization. It offers a powerful framework for building fast and scalable applications for z/OS and provides the facility to write applications in support of cloud infrastructures. It can take advantage of the colocation of your data and existing applications on IBM Z to increase throughput and reduce response time.

Features from the Go Community
Go 1.26 continues the trend of language simplification with improved support for initialization with an expression, and allowing generic types to reference themselves in constraints. Furthermore, toolchain updates have replaced cmd/doc and go tool doc with go doccommand. go fix has also been modernized using the Go analysis framework. Go 1.26 also has added runtime improvements.
The latest update to Go also brings new additions to the Go standard Library that comes packaged with the compiler. The new crypto/hpke packages provides Hybrid Public Key Encryption in addition to the experimental runtime/secrets package.
