Thai Host Code Page Support

By Gayathri M posted Wed December 04, 2024 05:01 AM

The newly supported Host Code Pages in HACP EE 4.2 are as follows:

  1. 838 Thai
  2. 1160 Thai Euro

Note: If a non-supported code page is configured on the server, then the United States (037) code page is set by default in HACP EE.

In the Preferences panel, the default setting for Thai composed mode is 5 - Space and EOF alignment.

Lock/Unlock of Thai Mode:

  • Thai Composed mode will be disabled if it is locked by the Admin.
  • Thai Composed mode will also be disabled if the preferred host code page is not set to 838 Thai or 1160 Thai Euro.

Note:
Use the following shortcuts to switch the keyboard layout:

  • Windows/Linux Users:
    • Alt+N - Switch to Thai keyboard layout
    • Ctrl+L - Switch to Latin keyboard layout
  • Mac OS Users:
    • Option+N - Switch to Thai keyboard layout
    • Ctrl+L - Switch to Latin keyboard layout

  • Upon session establishment, Thai support is indicated in the Operator Information Area (OIA).
  • If the keyboard is in Thai language mode, the "TH" indicator appears in the OIA. No indicator is shown when the keyboard is in the default Latin mode.
  •  The cursor appears as the default cursor initially.
  • When typing single characters, the cursor remains in its default form.
  •  When typing combination characters for the first time, the cursor splits into two: a normal cursor and a block cursor (with no space in between).
  •  As users type additional combination characters, the space between the normal and block cursor increases on the green screen.
  •  If the user presses the spacebar three consecutive times, the cursor reverts to its default form.
  •  Users can assign a specific key to Enable Thai Mode in the Key Remap feature.
  •  Once Thai Mode is enabled through the assigned key, Thai support is activated, and the "TH" indicator appears in the OIA.

Note:

  • Config Model: Changes to the preferred host code page are updated directly on the server.
  • HTML & Combined Model: Changes to the preferred host code page are saved in the browser cache.
