We are excited to announce SyncWeave - the open-source community edition of IBM Verify Directory Integrator (VDI, also known as TDI or SDI previously), now available to the IBM Open Source community. The project is released under the Apache 2.0 license and can be accessed through the public GitHub repository.

IBM Verify Directory Integrator Enterprise Edition is included with several IBM products, including Verify Directory Server and Verify Identity Governance.
IBM will continue to invest in the product by delivering enhancements, new capabilities, and ongoing innovation. Customers will also continue to receive official IBM support and service-level commitments in accordance with the terms of the IBM products that include this technology.
What is SyncWeave?
SyncWeave project is the open-source community edition of IBM Verify Directory Integrator (VDI). This is an enterprise-grade tool for the real-time synchronization and transformation of identity data across heterogeneous repositories. As identity schemas vary significantly between systems, SyncWeave not only moves data but also transforms records as they flow. It applies configurable attribute mapping rules and data transformations expressed through Java/JavaScript to align data formats.
SyncWeave includes a rich library of built-in connectors and a Java development environment for building or extending connectors as needs evolve. It helps in building one AssemblyLine at a time, and each step can be run and tested immediately. It further simplifies integration by abstracting away the technical differences between data sources.

Getting involved gives you direct influence over the project's evolution. Community members can contribute feature enhancements, integration examples, connectors, parsers, and other artifacts. Once reviewed and accepted, your contributions will be supported in future releases of both the Community and Enterprise editions.
What is the Support Model?
Support depends on the edition you are using:
SyncWeave (Community Edition): Driven by the open-source community and active contributors. It does not include official IBM Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
IBM Verify Directory Integrator (Enterprise Edition): Bundled with products like Verify Directory Server and Verify Identity Governance, this edition includes official IBM support and SLAs. Customers requiring supported deployments should contact the IBM Sales team.
