Updates to the NS1 Connect Login Experience

By Claire ODonovan posted 17 days ago

We have introduced a minor enhancement to the NS1 Connect login experience to improve usability, simplify how users sign in and to align with IBM identity standards.

What is changing?

The login experience has been streamlined by consolidating multiple sign-in options into a single-entry point. Previously, users selected between separate login paths - SSO or username. These options are now consolidated into a single login field by entering your username. The system will then automatically determine the appropriate authentication method and guide you through the correct sign-in flow.

What this means for you

  • You will now enter your username in the ‘Username’ field.
  • NS1 Connect will automatically recognize your account type - SSO, username / password or IBM ID - and guide you through the appropriate flow.
  • There is no need to choose between different login options up front – the system will decide for you based on your username input.

What hasn’t changed?

  • Your existing credentials remain the same.
  • SSO and existing customer login experiences continue to function as before.
  • This change primarily simplifies the login screen – it does not change your account setup.

New trial users

As part of this update, IBMid will be the default and only method for new trial users to sign up and access NS1 Connect.

This update is part of our ongoing effort to deliver a more consistent experience across the IBM portfolio.

Initial login screen – user inputs username.

If a password is required, the user is prompted to enter it on this next screen.

If the account uses IBMid, the user is redirected to the IBMid sign-in screen.
