News: Highlights from our First IBM Verify Open Office Hours
We recently hosted our first IBM Verify Open Office Hours, bringing together customers and the IBM Verify product team for an open, interactive conversation. The session created space for meaningful dialog around product updates, application integrations, and the future direction of the IBM Verify roadmap.
Open Office Hours are designed to be informal and customer-driven. Rather thana one-way presentation, these sessions give customers the opportunity to ask questions, share real-world feedback, and learn directly from the people building the product. As our inaugural session, this was an exciting first step – and we look forward to growing participation and engagement in the weeks ahead.
Simplifying Application Integrations with IBM Verify
One of the most active discussion topics focused on integrating new applications with IBM Verify. Customers were keen to understand best practices, common challenges, and ways to accelerate time-to-value.
IBM Verify supports industry-standard authentication and authorization protocols – SAML, OpenID Connect (OIDC), and OAuth – enabling seamless Single Sign-On (SSO) across both cloud-based and on-premises applications. During the session, we explored how thoughtful configuration, proper metadata exchange, and well-defined access policies can significantly streamline on the onboarding process.
A standout highlight was the introduction of the unified Adapter Studio, currently available through an early access program, this new capability is designed to dramatically reduce integration timelines, cutting them down from several weeks to just a few days. By enabling rapid development of custom adapters, the Unified Adapter Studio helps organizations connect applications faster while maintaining strong security and governance.
What’s Coming Next
IBM Verify product team also shared a number of recent enhancements and forward-looking roadmap updates, offering attendees a preview of what’s ahead. Key highlights included:
- Enhancements to the workflow and flow designer: enabling more advanced orchestration and automation use cases
- Role recommendation capabilities designed to improve access certifications and reduce administrative burden
- Early access innovations, such a digital and verifiable credentials
- Continued investments in machine identity management and AI security, including agentic AI use cases
- Expansion of global data centers and compliance certifications, supporting customer’s regulatory and regional requirements
Together, these updates reinforce IBM’s commitment to securing both human and non-human identities, while helping organizations scale their digital transformation initiatives with confidence.
