Four months ago, I made a decision that completely changed the way I think about learning. I decided to explore Artificial Intelligence through IBM SkillsBuild, not knowing where that first step would lead. I wasn't thinking about earning credentials or reaching milestones—I was simply curious and eager to learn something new.
Looking back today, I'm amazed at how much can change in just four months.
Since beginning this journey, I have completed AI Fundamentals, AI Fundamentals with Capstone, Craft Precise Prompts for AI Models, and the IBM AI Accelerator. Along the way, I explored Generative AI, Prompt Engineering, Data Analytics for Machine Learning, Supervised Learning, Natural Language Processing, Unsupervised Learning, and AI-enabled Applications for Customer Service. Completing the AI Accelerator and earning the IBM SkillsBuild Faculty credential has been a proud milestone, and I have now earned ten AI credentials through IBM SkillsBuild.
What impressed me most wasn't only the range of topics I learned—it was how the learning experience was designed. Coming from a non-IT background, I expected AI to feel overwhelming. Instead, each course introduced concepts in a clear and structured way, allowing me to build my understanding step by step. Every module gave me the confidence to keep moving forward.
One of the biggest surprises was discovering how enjoyable learning could be. Every completed course answered one question while inspiring me to ask another. The more I learned, the more curious I became about how AI is transforming industries, improving customer experiences, and creating new opportunities across many fields.
These past four months have taught me that learning AI isn't about becoming an expert overnight. It's about staying curious, being consistent, and being willing to keep learning. Every new concept becomes another building block for future growth.
Today, I'm excited to explore opportunities where I can apply these skills, continue learning, and contribute in meaningful ways.
