The compiled cache is used when the XOM deployment is not enabled in the project. If the XOM is not available in Decision Center then there is no way to generate the full code ahead of time.
You can verify in in the DSAR it it contains a ruleset.jar or not. If the latter then it will be generated by the RES and stored in the cache if defined.

If you have enabled the bytecode generation in all you deployment descriptors, ¿do you still need to set the compiledArchivesCacheProperties to store the generated bytecode in a persistence directory or it's persisted in the RES database, so compiledArchivesCacheProperties is not needed?
