Hi

Can i use PostgreSQL server with IBM CONTENT MANAGER 5.6 running on VM (non containrises site ) ?

in the configuration tool i dont see Postgresql  Jdbc driver

at this time, Postgres database is supported only in containerized environments, see Prerequisites tab here

Not sure what you mean by IBM Content Manager 5.6 --- 

But

• IBM Content Manager 8.6 does not support PostgreSQL
• FileNet Content Manager 5.6 does support PostgreSQL but only with a containerized deployment. See here for more details: https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/filenet-p8-platform/5.6.0?topic=tasks-preparing-postgresql-server
