Thank you, we noticed that the following issue was registered: DT392338
Release builds are indeed done with CI/CD tooling using the rules-compiler-maven-plugin.
However it's convenient to build rule apps in Rule Designer during development to verify that the build is successful.

Subject: ODM 9.0.0.0: Rule Designer - Maven Integration?
This is a known issue the development is looking into it.
Note that the build command is designed to work in CI/CD tooling without eclipse installed and is not compatible with the M2E plugin.

Subject: ODM 9.0.0.0: Rule Designer - Maven Integration?
Hi,
after installing the Rule Designer plugin in Eclipse (eclipse-jee-2023-12-R-win32-x86_64.zip) the Maven functionality is missing.
For example the Maven entry in Window -> Preferences disappears.
We need Maven support because we use the rules-compiler-maven-plugin to build our ruleapps.
In the Eclipse logfile there are error messages regarding m2e (see attachment).
Is anyone else experiencing this problem?
