    Hi All!,

    I have installed on my local IBM Installation Manager 1.9.2.3 with which I installed ODM 8.11.1

    I need to install ODM 8.10.5 on my local, and with IM 1.9.2.3 I can not do it, IM hangs on the Location option. I think this is because the IM and ODM versions are incompatible.

    I can not install an older version of IM in order to install ODM 8.10.5, such as IM 1.9.1.3, because I already have version 1.9.2.3 installed. When I try it, I get this message:

    Installation Manager 1.9.2.3 is already installed at location "C:\IBM\Installation Manager\eclipse" and uses "C:\ProgramData\IBM\Installation Manager" for the data location. Use Installation Manager installed.

    I can not uninstall IM version 1.9.2.3 because that would force me to uninstall ODM 8.11.1. This is the message:

    In order to uninstall IBM Installation Manager 1.9.2.3, you must uninstall all products installed by this program 

    Does anyone know how I could have both versions (1.9.1.3 and 1.9.2.3) of IM installed without first uninstalling IM 1.9.2.3?

    You cannot install multiple versions of IM ... at least not on the same user.

    You can use userinst instead of install to install a version of IM in your user filesystem (default path will be c:\users\<you>\IBM\InstallationMangager

    Alternatively, if you need to keep your ODM 8.11.1 but don't need Installation Manager anymore:

    1. Rename C:\IBM\Installation Manager\IBM\ODM8111 to C:\IBM\Installation Manager\IBM\ODM8111.keep
    2. Uninstall ODM 8.11.1 using Installation Manager
    3. Uninstall Installation Manager
    4. Rename C:\IBM\Installation Manager\IBM\ODM8111.keep to C:\IBM\Installation Manager\IBM\ODM8111
    5. You can know uninstall Installation Manager

    You can install one instance in your user filesystem using userinst instead of install

    This can be a workaround
