I was reviewing the redbook for ODM. In the document it mentions to get sample files from  - 

How to use the sample in this Redpaper publication
The example in this Redpaper publication is built on top of the z Systems MiniLoan sample.
The MiniLoanDemo can be found in the following location:
/usr/lpp/zDM/V8R7M0/zexecutionserver/samples/ruleProjects

I am new to redbooks and not sure where to get the sample files.

Some of the RedBooks/Papers are quite old now so will have broken links.
I'm not sure if these examples will exactly fit the articles any more but the a public link for the MiniLoan Service and Loan Validation Service  can be found here (and there are probably other versions elsewhere if these are not the correct ones):
