Handling string 'dd-mm-yyyy' as a date selection

    By historical reasons a have in FileNet CPE 5.5.5 a custom field on a folder which is a string used as a date. The format is dd-mm-yyyy. How can I use this field in a FileNet query (acce) and handle it for date comparison?
