BPM, Workflow, and Case

Hi All,

Although I'm a developer, I try to help my colleagues in the following technical questions:

1. Can we connect and deploy to a Workflow Server, if it is in another Deployment Environment than the Process Center from which we want to deploy?
2. Can we connect and deploy to a Workflow Server, if it is in another Deployment Environment and  another Cell than the Process Center from which we want to deploy?
3. If the answers (or at least the first answer) is yes, what is the significance of more Deployment Environments in the same Cell has the same or different CMNDB? Why should they all see it?

Note that I'm just forwarding the questions, I don't have knowledge of such deeper technical questions unfortunately.
