  • 1.  Is there a Datacap action to check if a PDF is password protected?

    Hello,
We are trying to automate rejection emails for any documents which are password-protected or corrupt ( cannot be opened)
Is there any datacap action which identifies a password protected PDF file? We want to catch these Pdfs before calling PDFFREDocumenttoImage action. I know we can write a  custom action and handle Ionic.Zip.BadPasswordException,
but trying to see if we can achieve this by built-in Datacap actions.

    Thank you,

Unfortunately Datacap 917 or earlier does not have an action to detect (or open) a PDF file secured with a password.

    Hi Kim,
Thank you for your reply. Is there a plan to include this feature in Datacap 9.1.8 version?

    Thanks,
    Kavitha
