How can I get license Id and license password for WDG on prem installation. It asks for the same when installing the WDG client.

    Hi Nisala!

The latest version 20.12.0 should not ask for the license id and the password anymore since the requirement is already lifted from this version. What is the version of the installers you are using?

From where are you trying to find it from? Business Partner software downloads? Please note that the name has also changed to IBM Robotic Process Automation (IBM RPA).

Sorry, do not have it. Let me try to fix this for you and for the rest of the business partners as well. The latest version should definitely be available you guys. I'll come back to this when it's solved. Sorry for the inconvenience.

    Hi Jukka,

one little thing. When we purchase IBM RPA starter pack. It comes with 1 unattended bot license and 2 attended bot license. So how many computers can we add from web client? Only two for bot runtimes and one for studio? Please explain this to me.

Studios are free starting from the 20.12.0 release. So you do not need to license them at all.

For 1 unattended bot that means just one computer with one runtime. For two attended bots you can install the client package and the launcher to two computers from which the users can then trigger bots on-demand to be run in their desktop.

Can't we install all those runtimes into one computer and run concurrent bots?

    Hi,

unfortunately not. Attended bots allow only usage via Launchers. They are not really meant for concurrent execution as the unattended bot licenses are. But if you have an unattended bot running in a computer, I guess you could use the Launcher to trigger some other bot that would then run in parallel with the unattended one. Just hard to find a use case for this.
