    Hi,
I have configured Datacap 9.1.7's Admin, Engine, and Fingerprint databases on MS SQL Server 2017.
Information Center says nothing about the best practices and parameters about SQL Server databases.
Are there tips concerning a primary database file size, transaction log size, recovery mode (Full vs Simple), etc?

It seems EngineDB accumulates a lot of Taskstats records overtime and Full recovery mode will require a periodic backup.
Do you think EngineDB should be built as Simple recovery mode, because its mostly stat records can be ignored when lost?
Right now, all databases are in Full recovery mode only because this is the default mode.

IBM has not made recommendation regarding recovery modes for MS-SQL.

You can use less space by turning 'Write to Audit' off and do not need the data captured e.g. for reporting purposes.
