You may find some documentation on the notification of decision engine
here. It may be used to compute the rule count.
The rule count is also directly accessible from the decision engine execution API. See the
ruleflow engine interface and look at its output. If you are using only rules (and thus the Rete+ algorithm), you may use the
rule engine interface, which also provides the rule count in its output.
