  • 1.  Difference between BPM and BAW?

    Hello everyone
    I am new to the IBM community and i have found two different types of courses and certificates one for BPM(Business Process Management)  and  one for BAW(Busines Automation Workflow), so what are the main difference between these two??

    Hi Ahmed,

    Basically, Business Automation Workflow combines IBM BPM and IBM Case Manager in a single product and a single installation. IBM Content Navigator and the Content Platform Engine are also come with the product installation.

    Hello!

    Business Automation Workflow (BAW) is simply the next version of the product called BPM. It got a new name because it is also the next version of the product called IBM Case Manager since the two previously separate products have been combined into a single product called Business Automation Workflow (BAW). The capabilities of the previous products are still in BAW and new integrations between them have been added.

    Hello.

    ICM is the short name for IBM Case Manager as mentioned in my post above so you are not wrong.

    From courses and certification stand point, I would suggest you to take BAW path since it will include everything from BPM to ICM.
