Did you know that the Workflow capabilities you use today are available as a managed service on the IBM Cloud? IBM Business Automation Workflow combines business process management and case management capabilities to provide a 360-degree view of work. You can use it to optimize business outcomes to unite information, processes, and users. As part of the IBM Digital Business Automation platform, it is integrated with other automation capabilities including Content, Capture and Decisions.

Here is why you should consider using these capabilities as a service:

  • Start new projects quickly and deliver return on investment faster
Focus on building your solutions and not on maintaining and supporting software.
  • Scale when you need it
Easily add users, new capabilities or move from Express to Enterprise.
  • Easily integrate
Integrate existing solutions into the cloud environment.

The latest update, which went live on 24 October 2020, includes the following key enhancements:

  • Ability to restart individual clusters in a workflow system
Operators might need to restart a workflow system in an environment, for example, to apply configuration changes or to recover a cluster. Previously, they had to restart the complete workflow system. Now, they can see which cluster has issues and restart just this cluster.
  • Easily find details about your subscription
Account administrators might need to review the capabilities and versions of individual components deployed on subscriptions. Previously, they had to contact IBM Support to get this information. Now, they can find this information by going to the user menu and selecting System Information.

  • Benefit from a unified user experience
The updated cloud portal provides a unified experience across all IBM DBA on Cloud capabilities. From the Work view, you can easily find the right tool to work with for the business outcome you want to accomplish.
  • Benefit from IBM BAW 20.0.0.1 enhancements
New subscriptions are provisioned with the most recent IBM BAW level. Existing subscriptions can be upgraded on request.
  • Further improved getting started experience
The set of tours now includes a tour for account admins to help them customize the Work page.

  • See IBM Support notifications directly in the cloud portal
Previously, IBM Support announcements, such as planned outages, were sent by email to account administrators, who then had to cascade this information down to their users. Now, this information can be pushed directly to all users of a specific subscription.

If you are currently not running BAW on Cloud, you can try BAW on Cloud at no charge for 30 days.
