In the next episode of "Two Questions About Automation,” Friday, October 16, at 11 AM ET, I had the privilege of grilling Jim Casey, Director of Digital Business Automation and one of the architects of the IBM Cloud Pak for Automation. Jim is known for being an articulate spokesperson for the vision of the integrated platform, and that’s where I started with my first question.
Having been around the Enterprise software industry for a few decades, I’m well aware of the fear that some companies have of being too dependent on one vendor. So I put it to Jim to answer, “Why would I want an Automation Platform?”
His answer got right to the point, which is what I was hoping for, and so I followed up with a broader question about the role of Artificial Intelligence in an Automation platform, and you might find his answer surprising. I know I did.
