    HI,

    With the launch of MAS9 a long desired feature is enabled to be able to white label your MAS instance.  This means you are able to add a "customer" icon, change the title of the MAS9 instance as well as use css classes to change the background color of the banner. Al long awaited and desired features. However, with this new functionality another (even more) crucial and important feature seems to be gone in vain: when an administrator needs to change or update some features e.g. a database change, it is required to go into Admin Mode. In all previous versions as well as in MX7.6 the user was notified by a yellow Tag in the banner with the text "Admin Mode On" or similar tags. As of the introduction of the MAS9 "User Interface Customisation" feature in MAS Admin Console it seems that the Admin Mode isn't displayed anymore.  Is this "works as designed" or is this just a "bug" that didn't popped up during the IBM regression tests? Any idea how to solve this crucial functionality for developers and system administrators?

    I would open a support ticket. We displayed this in 8.11 and earlier versions and I don't think this was an intentional removal. There was some technical work done to make the masthead codebase consistent across applications and I could see this being missed in testing.
