    Hi,

We are seeing below error messages while deploying Monitor in MAS 8.10. Even after 1 day it says reconciliation is running. Any guidance here would be helpful.

    Hi Suhas,

As I can see in the error stack trace, it seems that KAFKA is not yet installed or not found. Can you recheck whether kafka is correctly configured in MAS Core?

    Hi Jen-Willem,

We have not configured any Kafka set up and MAS installed is 8.8 and not 8.10.

    Hi Suhas,

The header says: Error deployment Monitor in MAS 8.10 (so a bit confused now: are you installing on 8.8 or 8.10? Otherwise change the header with the correct MAS version :) )

Regardless whether MAS 8.8 or MAS8.10 is installed, MAS Monitor requires both kafka, database connection (must be DB2 inside the OCP cluster!) and mongodb installed as dependencies, so please check whether these dependencies are pre-installed and pre-configured before trying to install Monitor.

Before installing Monitor You need both Kafka and IoT Tool to be deployed, as Jan-Willem written. The DB2 instance has to be a DB2 Warehouse (at least accoring to IBM docs), but it does not have to be deployed in-cluster. If You are running on cloud You can use DB2 Warehouse in a SaaS service (in IBM Cloud or AWS).
