Hello,

We're looking to upgrade our ArcGIS Server to version 11.1.    Our Maximo Spatial version is currently at 7.6.1.0.

IBM's Maximo Spatial docs don't list this combination as supported: 

Maximo Spatial System Requirements

But is anyone out there already using ArcGIS Server 11.x successfully with Maximo Spatial? Specifically with Spatial v7.6.1.0?

We'd appreciate hearing whether it's working for you or if you came across any issues.

I took a look at that doc you referenced in your post. What is limitation to trading up to MAS 8.6? I realize that is a loaded question. 8.6 is the only listed version that handles ESRI 11.0 and Maximo EAM 7.6.1.x is going end of life in a relatively short period of time. I am thinking it is likely you are going in that direction soon anyway, yes? If not (i.e. you have no plans to upgrade in the next 24 months) why not? Is a technically not supported combination worth the risk to your business? Or to phrase it differently is the risk less than the cost of the upgrade?  I am curious as to your reasoning here.

Yes, we'll be moving towards MAS soon. But not before we will need to upgrade our ArcGIS. So I'm hoping someone out there already has experience with the combination of ArcGIS 11.x and Maximo Spatial 7.6.1.0 and can share their findings.

Hi Ryan,

I talked with the Spatial Product Manager this morning for an update.  We are currently testing with ArcGIS 11.1 for our MAS 8.11 release and plan to back port that support to Spatial 7.6.1 as well.  You will likely see this certification with 7.6.1 in the October timeframe as MAS 8.11 is planned for September release.

Great to see that Spatial 7.6.1 is going to receive support ArcGIS 11.1. We find ourselves in a very similar position to the Ryan; would you be able to provide any update as to when we might see the certification for 7.6.1?
