Matthias Funke is the product management & strategy executive for Watson AI for IT at IBM. He is responsible for infusing AI into business workflows to take out cost, simplify and automate work, and improve the user experience and Passionate about database, digital transformation, BigData, AI, modernizing and reinventing enterprise IT.
Prior to this, Matthias was the Executive Director, Hybrid Data Management Offerings and Strategy at IBM and served as the IBM Poland Lab Executive. Matthias has extensive experience in defining and managing data, analytics, and AI products, with a central focus on optimizing the client experience. He is passionate about digital transformation, Big Data, AI, and modernizing enterprise IT.
Matthias received a Master of Computer Science degree from Friedrich Schiller University Jena, Germany, and successfully completed studies on Business Information System and business administration at the University of Leeds, United Kingdom.
