How to use the Group information in the definition of customized topology?

  • 1.  How to use the Group information in the definition of customized topology?

    Posted Fri August 09, 2024 10:23 AM

We are developing a Topology solution with over 150,000 defined elements.

These resources will be grouped according to several criteria.

One of these criteria is to group by the RING to which the element is associated.

For example, several routers are associated with RING ACC001.

There are tables with information about the various elements and their connections.

The question is how to generate Resource Groups using the G:{...} option in the file with the topology definition?

Ideally, resources should be automatically associated with the group they belong to.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi Antonio,  please have a look at the resource group templates. You can group automatically for example tag-based or token-based. So, If your file for the file observer includes the proper group tags or tokens for your resource, then the template can help to group the resources accordingly. Maybe you can include your (ring) criteria by this approach somehow.

    Best regards, Detlef
